Hello Daniel,

I've come across your blog after reading another by a person currently working in Haiti. It is incredibly moving to read of the difficulties and that Haitians have persevered through in recent years. I'm so grateful to you for sharing theses stories, and I hope that you have a brilliant time meeting Auguste!

Yours,
Jenny

Daniel - On behalf of Auguste, thank you for being so true to his story. No embellishment, no changes for dramatic effect, just the not so simple not so ordinary truth, beautifully drawn and coloured.

Each student we support and each person who knocks at our 'potay' (gate) has a variation on these life stories . Although we cannot tell them all, we are honoring their struggle with the ones told here.

Lovely story Daniel!
I didn't fully appreciate Auguste's situation until I read his story here.

I am looking forward to reading the new comic book next year. And kudos for creating the French and Kreyol versions of this web comic !
